The Women Leaders Association, the largest publisher and events organization for women professionals with 43,000 members and more than 130 regional chapters, today announced Jenny Shufelt, MS, PCC, as the newest Coaching Partner of its Milwaukee chapter. The appointment gives the chapter's members a choice of two rigorously vetted coaches with complementary strengths.
Coaching is one of the highest-impact investments a professional woman can make in her career, and one of the hardest to shop for. Titles are unregulated and quality varies enormously. Under Coaching Partners, the association does the screening on the member's behalf, vetting every coach for recognized certifications, verifiable experience, and excellent client reviews, so members can book a consultation with confidence.
Shufelt works with accomplished women and leaders who want to be successful, effective, and impactful without losing connection to themselves in the process.
Her coaching is grounded in the belief that becoming a stronger leader does not require becoming someone else. She helps clients understand themselves more deeply, trust what is uniquely theirs, and lead from that understanding with greater confidence, intention, and range, so they can create their most effective and fulfilling impact.
She serves as a trusted and candid thinking partner for leaders navigating the real complexity of leadership: growth, transition, increased responsibility, difficult decisions, competing priorities, stakeholder dynamics, and questions about what comes next. Her coaching creates space to step outside the urgency of day-to-day leadership, examine patterns and blind spots, challenge assumptions, and move forward with greater clarity.
The goal, she says, is not simply another accomplishment. Shufelt helps leaders become more effective and impactful while creating success that is meaningful, sustainable, and fulfilling. Through the work, clients strengthen how they lead, deepen trust in themselves, and expand the contribution they are able to make.
Her approach often explores the connection between identity and leadership: how a leader's strengths, values, beliefs, patterns, energy, and experiences shape the decisions she makes, the relationships she builds, the environments she creates, and the impact she has. Clients can expect a partnership that combines deep listening and reflection with thoughtful challenge, perspective, and practical leadership application.
What distinguishes her is the combination of coaching depth and real-world organizational experience. With more than 20 years of coaching behind her and over 500 sessions a year, Shufelt understands leadership not only from the coaching room but from inside organizations. She serves as Director of Growth and Development at Hoffmaster, with responsibility for leadership development, employee growth, coaching, and organizational development, and designs and facilitates leadership, strengths, wellbeing, and engagement programs. She knows firsthand the environment her clients describe, where leaders are balancing people, performance, business priorities, change, culture, and competing demands.
Shufelt is a Professional Certified Coach credentialed by the International Coaching Federation, a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, and a Certified Applied Positive Psychology Coach through The Flourishing Center. She holds a master's degree in mental health counseling from the University of Wyoming and a bachelor's in health promotion and wellbeing from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
"Becoming a stronger leader does not require becoming someone else," said Shufelt. "I help clients understand themselves more deeply, trust what is uniquely theirs, and lead from that understanding with greater confidence, intention, and range. The goal is not simply another accomplishment. It is success that is meaningful, sustainable, and fulfilling. I am honored to bring that to the Women Leaders Association's Milwaukee members."
Shufelt joins Shelley A. Smith on the Milwaukee roster. Members can view her full profile, including her focus areas and credentials, or book a complimentary 30-minute Clarity Call through her page at https://MilwaukeeWomenLeaders.org/CoachJennyShufelt
"A lot of our members have already proven they can perform. What they are weighing at this stage is subtler: how to take on more without becoming a version of themselves they do not recognize," said Lydia Price, 2026 Volunteer Chair of the Women Leaders Association. "Jenny coaches exactly that question, and she does it with 20 years of practice and a day job inside an organization, so she is not theorizing about the pressures. With two vetted coaches now in Milwaukee, our members can choose the partner who fits the challenge in front of them."
The Milwaukee expansion is part of a national rollout extending Coaching Partners across the association's network of more than 130 chapters, pairing each city's members with coaches selected for that market.
Coaching Partners extends the association's mission of giving professional women both structural transparency and individual support. Research from Pew and others estimates that women still earn roughly 15 percent less than men on average, and the association's Glass Ceiling Score project scores most major U.S. employers on how fairly they promote women into management and executive roles. Coaching Partners adds the personal dimension: once a member sees the landscape clearly, a proven coach helps her move through it.
